Hello! Some drinking horns will have more of a natural horn odor than others, and in almost all cases, that will go away with time and exposure to air. You can help this process by hand washing, allowing it to air dry, and sprinkling dry baking soda into your dry horn to absorb odors overnight.

If there's ever an odor that remains after a good clean, please shoot us a message and we'll get that horn replaced for you.

Our products are made from Indian ox horns, and they are created at the source (an Indian ox farm) so that we can ensure the whole animal is in use and ox are not killed for their horns. We would imagine that Odin's approval depends on what you put in your vessel!
